This post includes directions for teachers with AND without access to RDS Gradebook.

Virtual Learning Days Attendance Procedures for Teachers with RDS Gradebook

In order to report attendance to the state for each of the virtual days, ALL teachers must follow the guidelines below.

In the teacher gradebook, under assignments, please enter virtual makeup days individually as follows:

Snow Day 1..……………(Snow Day 1 Make Up Date)

  1. Category = ASSIGNMENTS – GENERAL
  2. Short Description = Snow Day #
  3. For BOTH the “Date Assigned and “Date Due” = Make Up Date
  4. Status = Not for Grade
  5. Grade Scale = Standard
  6. Normal Pts = 1
  7. Score Type = Raw Score
  8. Be sure to click Save and then Close when finished.

See Example below for Snow Day 1:

NOTE: If a second Snow Day is required, repeat steps 1-6 with Snow Day 2 entered in them Short Description and Date Assigned/Date Due will reflect the Snow Day 2 Make Up Date.

To enter the data, teachers will record either a 1 or a 0 for each student based on the following:

  • 1 = “Equivalent Learning Growth” Successfully Demonstrated
  • 0 = Not Completed

Attendance Procedures for Teachers without RDS Gradebook

Teachers without access to RDS Gradebook will need to set up an Microsoft Excel or Google spreadsheet with the same data/scale as teachers with RDS Gradebook.

To enter the data, teachers will record either a 1 or 0 for each student based on the following:

  • 1 = “Equivalent Learning Growth” Successfully Demonstrated
  • 0 = Not Completed
