EVSC Gmail Forwarding Back On Friday, March 17, 2017
For the past few years (PRIOR to the Google migration in January) many employees had set up their Gmail to automatically forward to their Exchange email. This was typically done by users who never checked their Gmail, but didn’t want to miss an email if a parent or student sent an email to their Gmail account. Of course this is no longer necessary now that all employees use Gmail and Exchange is no longer an option.
If you had your email set to forward as described above, you will need to use one of the following support options to turn off or modify this feature after March 17th:
- Review this helpful article: How to turn off forwarding in Gmail
- Call the Help Line at 812-435-8555.
- Email email@example.com.
After March 17th, individuals who do not turn off this feature will experience an interruption to their email service. Again, this is only necessary if you had your Gmail forwarded to your Exchange email prior to the Google migration.
